Play money poker vs real money poker The number of people opting to play poker at the various online poker sites has increased every single day since the poker game was first introduced online. One of the most asked questions from new players in online poker is; what differences are between the play money poker games and the real money poker games offered at the varies poker rooms found online. The overall answer is that play money poker games are played with artificial chips, which have no real money value and are given to players for free. On the other hand real money poker games are played with real money chips, which have a value equal to the number of dollars or euros shown on the chip. The play money chips will normally be available in a players poker account right away, which mean you don’t have to make a deposit to play in these poker games. At the same time players can not withdraw any of their winnings as play money chips have no real money value. In order to play real money poker, players have to make a deposit to the online poker site. The money deposited to the poker site will afterward be transferred into an equal amount of poker chips, which can be used to play in real money cash games or poker tournaments. This also means you will be risking your own money, if you choose to play in real money poker games. But at the same time players have a chance to win real money in these games, which can freely be taken out to your bank account. Then the question is; should you choose play money poker or real money poker, if you are new to online poker? It depends on your reason for playing poker. If you play poker only for the fun of it, you should surely choose play money. On the other hand you should choose real money poker, if you want to add some excitement in the form of potential winnings. At the same time real money poker games are taken much more serious because of the real money on the line, while play money poker tend to be somewhat ruined by players taking the game unserious.

WSOP 2010 Event 2

Filed under: Poker News — admin @ 8:38 PM

Funny incidents were of course bound to happen in the most expensive tournament during WSOP 2010. More than 100 players paid the significant buy in of $50.000 and when the tournament was concluded Michael Mizrachi was the one to be awarded the bracelet and more than one and a half million dollars. His brother Robert ended sixth in the same tournament and what was even more fun was that it was no other than Michael “ The Grinder” who was the executor when it came to eliminate Robert Mizrachi. Even more spectacular was it, that the 16 players who got a share of the prize pool were only came from two different countries namely USA and Russia. Russia could take the runner up position, tenth and fifteenth but the rest of the money went to American players. It seems that European players not yet have learned to play the many different poker variants that is played in the Player Championship event. 8 different poker variations are played and many of those are not natural games for Europeans where the home game culture is not as established as in the USA where more than 50 million people play poker. The games played in the Poker Players Championship are Limit Hold’em, Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better, Seven Card Razz, Seven Card Stud, Seven Card Stud Hi-Low Split-8 or Better, No-Limit Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha and 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball which turned out to be games Michael Mizrachi mastered in full. Congratulations to him with the WSOP title which un doubly is one of the most prestigious as of today in his collection of poker tournament triumphs.
